I am Dr. Anand Bhalodi, a periodontist and implantologist
with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Herman Ostrow School of
Dentistry of USC and a Master of Dental Surgery in Periodontology and
Implantology. With more than 15 years of experience spanning clinical dentistry,
academic teaching, research, scientific writing, and professional service, I
have developed a strong interest in advancing evidence-based dentistry and
contributing to the quality and integrity of scientific literature. My academic and clinical background in
periodontology and implantology has provided me with experience in diagnosis,
clinical decision-making, interdisciplinary care, research interpretation, and
evaluation of scientific evidence. I have served as a Senior Lecturer in
Periodontology and Implantology, where I was involved in undergraduate teaching
and postgraduate academic and clinical supervision. I have also authored and
co-authored peer-reviewed publications, review articles, and book chapters and
have presented scientific work at national and international forums. A significant part of my academic development
has been through peer review. I have served as a reviewer for multiple
peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Pharmacy and Bioallied
Sciences, Indian Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic
Research, International Journal of Tropical Diseases and Health, and the
Journal of Indian Society of Periodontology. Through this experience, I have
developed a systematic approach to critically assessing manuscripts for
originality, scientific methodology, validity of conclusions, clinical
relevance, appropriate interpretation of evidence, ethical considerations, and
clarity of presentation. I am
particularly interested in contributing to the Indian Journal of Forensic
Odontology because forensic odontology represents an important intersection of
dentistry, science, law, and public service. I believe my experience in
scientific peer review, dental research, academic writing, and
multidisciplinary clinical practice would allow me to provide constructive and
objective editorial input. As an Editorial Board Member, I would be committed
to supporting rigorous peer review, encouraging high-quality and clinically
relevant research, maintaining ethical and scientific standards, and helping
the journal strengthen its contribution to forensic dental science and the
wider dental research community.
