Dr Dheeraj Abhaykumar Binodkumar, MBBS, MD (FMT) has completed his post-graduation in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology from Grant Government Medical College & Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, India. He has worked in institutes like Government Medical College Miraj Maharashtra, All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur at different capacities. He is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences Deoghar in the state of Jharkhand. He is having experience in handling numerous medico legal cases coming to the clinical forensic unit including those related to various kinds of injuries, poisoning, and sexual assaults. He has been a part during the establishment of India’s first DM (Doctorate of Medicine) course in Medical & Forensic Toxicology. He has been involved in dealing numerous different medico legal autopsies and giving evidence to the courts for the same. He has been trained and handled cases related to age determination for both criminal and civil related issues during his journey. He is having a total 07 years of experience after his post – graduation. He has been engaged in training students in forensic medicine, medical jurisprudence and toxicology. He is member to various societies of forensic brethren at national levels. He is currently having 18 research publications in various indexed national and international journals. He is and had been engaged in multiple research related projects at the institutes he worked.
