Sambhunath Das graduated from VSS Medical College & Hospital, Burla, Sambalpur in 1993 and Post-graduated from SCB Medical College & Hospital, Cuttack in 1997. He has completed academic senior residency in cardiac anaesthesia from AIIMS, New Delhi in 2003 He graduated in acupuncture in 2002. He published more than 70 articles in National & International Journals, and edited and contributed to several significant publications. His areas of interest are Pediatric & neonatal anaesthesia, Cardiac anaesthesia, Thoracic and vascular anaesthesia, Critical care, Transesophageal echocardiography, Blood conservation, Heart failure, Advanced cardiac life support (ECMO and LVAD) and Heart Transplant. He is a member of the Editorial & Review Board of eight journals. He has written 8 chapters in different books. He is associated with research and teaching of students. He is guide and co-guides to the thesis projects of more than 30 students. He is life membership with various scientific & professional societies & organizations He is currently working as Additional Professor in the Department of Cardiac Anaesthesia, AIIMS, New Delhi
