Introduction

As a physician and academician, I possess over a decade of experience in internal medicine, currently serving as Associate Professor and Officer-in-Charge at the Department of Medicine, AIIMS, Vijaypur, Jammu. My academic background includes an MD in Medicine from AIIMS, New Delhi, and formative years as Senior Resident and Assistant Professor at the same institution. This experience has provided me with a strong foundation in academic medicine and complex clinical care.

My clinical expertise lies in cardio-metabolic disorders, respiratory illnesses, infectious diseases, and immunological conditions. I have completed specialized training in obesity medicine and diabetes management, and have contributed significantly to academic service development, postgraduate teaching, and hospital-based patient care. My research experience encompasses a wide range of areas, including sarcopenic obesity, COVID-19, tuberculosis, and immune disorders.

I have authored over 25 peer-reviewed publications and have participated in national-level vaccine trials and metabolomics-based research. I am currently guiding an MD thesis and working on integrating omics, public health, and clinical epidemiology to address emerging challenges. In addition to research, I am involved in mentoring junior doctors, organizing CME programs, and participating in outreach focused on metabolic and infectious diseases. My approach is centered on collaborative learning, scientific integrity, and contributing to equitable, research-informed healthcare.
