Introduction

I am Dr. Sneha Mohan, currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Kasna, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar – 201310. I can be contacted at 9971079185 and via email at doc.snehamohan@gmail.com.

I completed my MD in Microbiology from King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh in 2014, following my MBBS from N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur, Maharashtra in 2008. With a strong academic foundation and clinical exposure, I have developed a keen interest in diagnostic microbiology and infectious diseases.

I began my academic career in 2015 as an Assistant Professor at the School of Medical Sciences and Research (SMS&R), Sharda University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where I worked for nearly eight years in various capacities, including Associate Professor. I joined Government Institute of medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, as an Assistant Professor, where I continue to contribute to teaching, research, diagnostics, and laboratory strengthening.

My research interests focus on antimicrobial resistance, viral diagnostics, and hospital-associated infections. I have published numerous research articles in national and international indexed journals, covering key areas such as hepatitis diagnostics, MRSA epidemiology, COVID-19 viral load assessment, neonatal septicemia, carbapenem resistance, and ESBL-producing organisms. My publications reflect my commitment to improving diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes in tertiary care settings.

Along with research, I am actively engaged in postgraduate teaching and fostering a scientific mindset among young microbiologists. I strive to advance microbiology through evidence-based practices, infection control awareness, and meaningful collaborations. I remain dedicated to enhancing healthcare standards through continuous learning, efficient laboratory operations, and impactful academic contributions.
