I am Dr. Charushila Atul Rukadikar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology at AIIMS Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. My academic foundation includes MBBS and MD (Physiology), along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine. Over the years, I have served in academic roles across multiple medical colleges and have been part of AIIMS Gorakhpur since November 2021.
My work sits at the intersection of physiology, lifestyle medicine, and clinical translation—especially in cardiometabolic health and women’s health. I currently lead an ICMR-funded multicentric randomized controlled trial on Lifestyle Medicine implementation models in PCOS, and I also serve as Principal Investigator for a DHR–MRU project focused on autonomic function assessment in diabetics and controls. In parallel, I actively mentor student-led research and contribute to strengthening research systems at the institutional level, including MRU-linked initiatives.
I have been recognized with the Fellowship of the Indian Society of Chronomedicine (FISC, 2024) and have received presentation awards at national and international forums. My scholarly contributions include a portfolio of 60 publications spanning autonomic physiology, lifestyle interventions, medical education research, and chronic disease mechanisms. I also author academic books, including The Journey of Physiologist (2024) and earlier titles on Nobel laureates and optics of vision (2022).
Overall, I focus on creating research that is methodologically robust, clinically meaningful, and practically implementable in real-world healthcare settings, while contributing to teaching, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration
