I am Dr. Bijoy Kar, a Gynaecologic Oncologist at the Gujarat
Cancer & Research Institute (GCRI), Ahmedabad, with a strong academic and
clinical interest in gynaecologic oncology. My professional work encompasses
the comprehensive management of gynaecological malignancies, particularly
ovarian, cervical, and endometrial cancers, with an emphasis on evidence-based
and multidisciplinary cancer care. Alongside my clinical responsibilities, I
have developed a keen interest in academic research, scientific writing,
clinical trials, and critical appraisal of medical literature. My areas of
academic interest include advanced ovarian cancer, cytoreductive surgery,
minimally invasive gynaecologic oncology, and emerging treatment strategies in
gynaecologic malignancies. I have been actively involved in academic
activities, including research projects, preparation of scientific manuscripts,
presentations, and discussion of contemporary evidence in gynaecologic
oncology. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of the
importance of methodological rigor, accurate scientific communication, ethical
research practices, and critical interpretation of clinical evidence. I am particularly
interested in contributing to the peer-review and editorial process, as I
believe that a high-quality journal plays an important role in advancing
clinical practice and improving patient outcomes.
