•       Dr. Arijit Dey has completed MD in Forensic Medicine from Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College, Kolkata and Senior Residency from AIIMS, New Delhi.

•       He is presently working as Associate Professor in Dept. of FMT in AIIMS, Kalyani, West Bengal.

•       He is the recipient of President’s Gold Medal, awarded by NBE for securing National Highest marks in DNB in Forensic Medicine in December 2016.

•       He is Life Member of Indian Public Health Association (IPHA), Indian Association of Forensic Medicine (IAFM) and Indian Society of Toxicology (IST).

•       He has been awarded Membership of National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS) in Forensic Medicine in 2019.

•       He has completed Diploma in Public Health from All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health (AIIHPH), Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Management (PGDHM) from NIHFW (New Delhi), Post Graduate Diploma in Medico Legal System (PGDMLS) and MBA in Hospital Management (MBA HM).

•       He has undergone Basic Course in Medical Education (BCME) and Curriculum Implementation Support Program (CISP) and also completed Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR)

•       He is a certified Resource person for Training of Trainer (ToT) Course on Forensic Examination in Sexual Offence Cases; Hands-on training of Medical and Paramedical professionals in ISTOLS course, and also several other Workshops related to Forensic Medicine training of Police, NIA and Judiciary personnel.

•       He is National Reviewer of International Journal of Health Research & Medicolegal Practice, Indian Journal of Forensic Medicine & Pathology, International Journal of Forensic Science and also Editorial Board Member of Journal of Forensic Chemistry & Toxicology and Journal of Hospital Administration and has reviewed more than 50 articles. He has more than 80 publications in different National and International peer reviewed Journals.

•        He has been a Board member of Expert Committee involved in providing expert forensic opinion in several CBI and CID cases.

He has provided forensic expert opinion in more than 15 cases of alleged medical negligence, referred to him by medical professionals of different states.
