Introduction


Dr. Anshul Saxena is a Professor of Forensic Medicine at the School of Medical Sciences and Research, Sharda University, Greater Noida. He has over thirteen years of professional experience in forensic medicine, encompassing medico-legal investigations, academic teaching, research, and expert opinion work. He obtained his MD in Forensic Medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and has been actively involved in forensic practice and education since then.

Dr. Saxena’s areas of expertise include post-mortem examinations, medico-legal documentation, forensic toxicology, age and stature estimation, and interpretation of injury patterns in cases of unnatural deaths. He has extensive experience in conducting autopsies, determining cause and manner of death, and providing scientifically sound medico-legal opinions to investigating agencies and courts of law. His professional work emphasizes accuracy, ethical practice, and adherence to established forensic standards.

In his academic role, Dr. Saxena is deeply involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, assessment, and examiner responsibilities. He has guided medical students in research methodology and dissertation work, fostering a strong foundation in analytical thinking and evidence-based forensic practice. His research interests include forensic toxicology, forensic anthropology, post-mortem pathology, and applied morphometric studies relevant to medico-legal decision-making.

Dr. Saxena has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals. His research contributions cover diverse topics such as morphometric analysis of organs, age and stature estimation, drowning indicators, reproductive system pathology, and medico-legal case reports. These works reflect his sustained commitment to advancing practical and research-oriented forensic medicine.

He actively contributes to peer review and editorial activities and remains committed to maintaining academic rigor, publication ethics, and high scientific standards. Dr. Saxena aims to continue contributing to the growth of forensic medicine through quality research, scholarly review, and the training of future forensic professionals.
