I
am Dr. Md Adil Faizan, a dedicated
psychiatrist at Government Medical
College, Nizamabad, with a strong commitment to advancing mental health
care through clinical service, research, and community engagement. I completed
my MD in Neuropsychiatry (2021–2024)
at Mamata Medical College, where I graduated with the state second rank,
following my MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Adilabad.
Over the years, I have developed a deep interest in understanding the complex interplay
between biological, psychological, and social determinants of mental health,
which continues to guide my clinical practice and research.
My
academic journey has been consistently shaped by a passion for inquiry and
evidence-based practice. I have published 14 scientific articles in national
and international journals, spanning diverse areas such as perinatal maternal
mental health, addiction psychiatry, child and adolescent mental health, and
geriatric psychiatric care. I am particularly drawn to research that addresses
real-world clinical challenges, improves patient outcomes, and contributes to
the evolving landscape of psychiatric knowledge.
Beyond
research, I have actively participated in numerous state-level CMEs,
conferences, and training programs, contributing as a committee member and
resource person. I firmly believe in the power of mental health advocacy, which
has led me to create award-winning short films themed around psychiatric
awareness—an initiative aimed at destigmatizing mental illness and making
mental health education more accessible to the community.
