 Old age is described to be weakened organ system reserves and undermined homeostatic controls. As we get aged our existences and need to eat can alter and this can disturb the kinds and quantities of foods we consume. This is due to deviations in the body that occur certainly with age. A diminishing appetite or reduced capacity to purchase and cook healthy diets can mean that many aged persons don’t get sufficient needed vitamins, mineral and fibre. Eating a well-proportioned diet is a vital part of remaining fit as age increases.

 Old age is traditionally considered to be synonymous with deteriorating physical and mental health. There are well-recognized health problems which accompany old age. Vision dwindles, hearing diminishes, bones become weak, muscle tone decreases, and memory starts failing. Ageing is a normal universal change taking place even with the best nutrition & health care. During the old age, the scope & sphere of their social interaction is reduced mainly in the family circle. Studies have shown that most common old age problems are economical dependency, loneliness, insecurity and diminished self-concept. In the families when the elderly cease their functional ability they may viewed as a burden for the family, community and may end up in institutionalization.

Humor isn’t concerning just telling jokes; it’s the means we tend to read the planet. the world. Laughter Therapy (Hasya yoga) is a combination of unconditioned laughter and breathing. It is known as long standing complimentary and alternative therapy since 1970. It is an excellent way to reduce stress in our lives and which help us to cope with stressful life events and enhances our body to release stress busting endorphin and promote wellbeing.

 Demand for health oriented products such as sugar-free, low calorie and high fiber products are increasing. One such recent trend is to increase the fiber content in food products to overcome health problems such as hypertension, diabetes, and colon cancer, among others. Consumption of high fiber products consisting of indigestible cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and gums has several health benefits. Apart from these benefits, β-glucan-rich fibers have the benefit of reducing the absorption of glucose. Most of the plant resources are consumed as food, especially seed based foods are consumed by human beings and animals. Few seeds are utilized entirely by human beings and animals, most of the seeds are under -utilized. The study present showed all the selected seed samples were found to be rich in fiber content and it can be used as value added products.
