 The word cancer, abbreviated ca, is a term that frightens most people. The word neoplasm is derived from the Greek word which means new, and plasma which means growth of new tissue (molding). Previously cancer was considered as a non treatable disease and having very painful experiences throughout the disease. There is need of concentrating on psychological aspect of cancer patient’s health along with treating disease process. Health care professionals at Out Patients Department as well as in oncology ward often forget to discover psychological changes while dealing with treatment and chemotherapy care. There is need for psychological assessment right from the diagnosis till the patient recovers and leads happy life. This article is simple review on Psychological Aspect of Cancer patients.

 Depression is a common psychiatric morbidity affecting all ages and genders. Elderly populations are at higher risk of developing depression. Several biological, psychological as well as social factors attribute to depression in elderly. Depression leads to significant mortality and morbidity. The quality of life and the functioning also gets grossly affected by depression. Depression is often under-diagnosed or misdiagnosed in elderly due to atypical presentation and presence of other physical co-morbidities. Hence understanding depression and its risk factors is of utmost importance for achieving better clinical outcome. 

 Pregnancy is the beginning of many changes in the life of a woman. There are not only physical, social and financial changes a woman undergoes during this transitional period but also a wide range of mixed emotions. These emotions can be exciting due to the assumption of the role of becoming a parent. However, at times it can be scary and stressful. The nurses with their expertise and skills can help to improve emotional wellbeing of the expectant mothers.

 A research approach was selected for this study non-experimental descriptive design for assessing the knowledge and attitude of an adult towards depression in selected urban community,Ward- 4,Ward-5, Abu road, Rajasthan. The population includes an adult who resides and between 21-40 years of age. The sample for this study comprised of 60 and adults. Convenient sampling technique was used to select the sample for this study. Section 1 of the tool consisted of the following six items: age, gender, education, occupation, income and marital status, type of family. Section 2 consists of 25 items deals with knowledge data of an adult. Section 3 consists of 20 items. It deals with attitude of an adult towards depression. Data analysis shows that mean knowledge score of an adults was 19.63, median 19.00 and S.D, 3.130, the mean attitude score 68.65, median is 69.50 and S.D. is 15.601.The co-efficient of correlation was computed by Karl Pearson’s coefficient correlation method. Co-efficient i.e. knowledge and attitude is + 0.86. Significant association found between knowledge and selected demographic variables like occupation (21.74%), income (55.942%), marital status 38.26%), type of family (21.03%). There is significant association between attitude and selected demographic variable such as education (9.91%), occupation (20.07%), income (51.37%), marital status (32.12%), and type of family (14%) adults.  

 Mental disorder among childrenand adolscent are infrequently seen, yet they can be managed by trained primary care practitioners. The objectives of the study were - to assess the pre-test level of knowledge and attitude regarding childhood mental disorders among primary school teachers; to assess the post-test level of knowledge and attitude regarding childhood mental disorders among primary school teachers; to assess the difference of pre-test, post-test level of knowledge and attitude; to identify the relationship on post-test level of knowledge with attitude; to find association of post-test level of knowledge and attitude with selected demographic variables. The samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected through questionnaire and Likert scale, developed by the researchers. The collected dates were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics and the findings showed that the majority of school teachers 47(78.3%) had adequate knowledge and 13(21.7%) had moderately adequate knowledge, while 42(70%) had positive attitude and 18(30%) had neutral attitude. The study finding showed that the level of knowledge and attitude of the primary school teachers improved after the planned teaching program. And there was no significant association between level of knowledge and attitude with the selected demographic variables like age, experience, marital status, disorder in family and place of residence. The study concluded that the structured teaching program can improve both knowledge and attitude level among primary school teachers on childhood mental disorders.

 Background: Anger and its expression represent a major problem in adolescents. Youth violence often emanates from multiple risk factors: biologic vulnerability; inconsistent, overly permissive, or harsh discipline; community deprivation and exposure to violence. Objectives: A study was done to assess the vulnerability to anger, aggression and violence among adolescents and seek the association between vulnerability to anger, aggression, violence and selected socio demographic variables. Methodology: Convenient non probability sampling technique was employed to interview 60 adolescents studying in a selected school of Central Delhi. Results: Findings revealed that all male adolescents belonged to age group of 14-18 years, 58.33% of the adolescents had mild vulnerability to anger whereas 75% adolescents had moderate vulnerability to aggression and equal number (75%) of adolescents had mild vulnerability to violence. There was no significant association found between demographic variables and vulnerability to anger, aggression and violence. Information booklet on Anger Management was prepared and disseminated in order to give the adolescents some insight into anger, its causes, consequences, manifestations and anger management techniques. Identifying the vulnerability to anger, aggression & violence may be important for early interventions and management.
