Background: Palliative care aims to enhance the quality of life for patients with life-limiting illnesses. While much attention is given to patient comfort, the vital role of primary caregivers often family members who provide continuous physical and emotional support is frequently overlooked. These caregivers face a multitude of hidden struggles that include emotional exhaustion, physical fatigue, social isolation, and financial strain. Objectives: This study aims to explore the lived experiences and hidden burdens of primary caregivers in palliative care environments. It seeks to understand their emotional, physical, social, and financial challenges, identify coping mechanisms, and gather their suggestions for support. Methods: A qualitative phenomenological research design was employed. Primary caregivers of patients receiving palliative care were selected using purposive sampling. In-depth, semi-structured interviews were conducted until data saturation was achieved. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the narratives and identify recurring patterns and themes. Results: Emerging themes included emotional vulnerability, disrupted personal lives, lack of formal support, cultural expectations of caregiving, and adaptive coping strategies such as spiritual reliance and informal peer support. Many caregivers reported neglect of self-care, anxiety, anticipatory grief, and a desire for structured support systems including respite care and psychological counseling. Conclusion: The study reveals that caregiving in palliative care settings entails profound, often invisible burdens. There is a critical need to integrate caregiver focused support services within the palliative care framework. Recognizing caregivers as co-recipients of care, rather than mere providers, can contribute significantly to holistic and compassionate palliative care.

The stress and pressure faced by nurses working in critical care units are a leading cause of physical and psychological problems. Nurses have to take care of all domestic duties along with their level of s at the hospital. Often, they do not have enough time to talk about their stresses with family and friends; this causes non-assertiveness in their behavior. Instead of raising their voices against heavy workloads nurses start to perceive things wrongly and depress themselves. Nonassertive behavior caused frustration, hostility, sadness, and hopelessness. It can be possible only when nurses learn to protect their own rights and respect others’ rights. It is very complex to handle stress which arises due to problems at home or at work, faulty relationships, and several other strained situations. Aim: The primary aim of the present study is to improve the assertiveness of nurses working in critical care units to promote emotional intelligence, resilience coping abilities power to get rid of stress. Methodology: Randomization controlled trial research design was followed in the present research study. The staff nurses working in critical care units at least for one year was considered as the target population of the study. The systematic random sampling technique was adopted to select 60 nurses working in critical care units of two private hospitals for experimental and control groups. Parker`s Job Stress Scale was used to collect first-hand information from nurses working in critical care units. Results: The paired t-test on mean of pre and post-interventional assessment of experimental group found (t= -6.357*, df=29, p<0.05) negatively significant difference, whereas in control group t-value (t=3.730,df=29, p<0.05) is found nonsignificant. Conclusion: Conclusively, the study finding revealed that the assertive training program has significant effect on job stress among nurses working in critical care units.

The study aimed to assess the mobile phone dependence level among students of selected ITI colleges of Sukma. The conceptual framework was adopted for the study based on ROY’s adaptation model. Instruments used for the data collection were socio demographic Performa, Dependence on mobile phone scale among selected students of selected ITI college of Sukma. Fifty students were selected by simple random sampling technique. Descriptive statistic (frequency, percentage), and inferential statistics (chi square, and correlation) were used to analyses the data and to test hypothesis. All the items in the questionnaire were standardized. The reliability was assessed by using Karl Pearson’s Correlation coefficient. The obtained reliability was 0.93 which indicates that the tool which is taken by the researcher is reliable, valid, and predictable of the desired objective. The data were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study are suggestive of mobile phone dependence among students of selected ITI college of Sukma. Among 50 samples in those 8 members (16%) are not having any mobile dependency whereas 14 members (28%) are having mild dependence level on mobile phone, 10 members (20%) are having moderate level of mobile dependence at last 18 members (36%) are having severe dependence level on mobile. The data is indicative that Mobile phone dependence is an important health problem in the students. The sleep quality deteriorates with increasing dependence level. New studies are required to assess the real problem and thereby take appropriate steps to tackle the growing problem. It was concluded that referring the students with suspected dependence to advanced healthcare facilities, performing occasional scans for early diagnosis and informing the students about controlled mobile phone use are required for the purposes of definitive diagnosis and treatment.

This review delves into the evolving role of ketamine in psychiatry, examining its mechanisms of action, therapeutic applications, clinical efficacy, safety concerns, and emerging trends in the field. While ketamine therapy offers promise, its use raises ethical, regulatory, and long-term safety considerations that require continued research and careful implementation.
