 A 27 years old primigravidae of 20 weeks’ gestation with previous history of seizure and on antiepileptic, diagnosed with uncontrolled seizure and multiple congenital anomaly of the fetus was planned for termination of pregnancy. After termination patient and family members were counselled to cope the situation as well as planning further pregnancy. Follow up was continued by collaboration of Neurology and Obstetrics and Gynaecology department.

 A study was conducted to assess the knowledge regarding menstruation and its hygiene among adolescent girls at K.L.E’s Institute Of Nursing Sciences, Hubballi. Twenty eight (28) students were selected by non probability; purposive sampling technique. The knowledge was assessed by using structured knowledge questionnaire. The study results revealed that in Pre test majority of subjects 17 (60.71%) had average knowledge, 6 (21.42%) had good knowledge and 5 (17.85%) had poor knowledge respectively, where as in Post test all the subjects 28 (100%) had good knowledge about the menstruation and its hygiene.

 Background: Pain during labor is caused by contractions of the muscles of the uterus and by pressure on the cervix. Labor pain can be felt as strong cramping pain in the abdomen, groin, and back. Aim: The present study aims to assess the perception of labour pain perception among primi mothers. Methods: The study was conducted at Government general hospital, Kancheepuram district. Research design adopted for this study was cross sectional design. The sample size for the study was 60 primi mothers who were selected by Convenient sampling method. The tool consists of two sections. Section A consisted of Structured questionnaire to elicit demographic variables of primi mothers and Section B comprised of visual analogue categorical numerical pain scale which was used to assess the pain perception of Primi mothers. Results: The present study results depicted that, regarding the level of labour pain perception among primi mothers, none of them had no pain; 7 (11.6%) had mild pain; 39 (65.0%) had moderate pain and 14 (23.4%) had severe pain and no one had worse pain. Conclusion: The results of the study concluded that majority 35 (58%) of primi mothers had moderate labour pain. The mothers may have lack of knowledge regarding the need for pain relief and various types of pain relief methods during labour. All the antenatal women particularly primi mothers should be educated about the need for pain relief during labor and also about the available options.

 The study was conducted to Assess the Knowledge on Institutional Delivery among Primi Gravida Mothers at Selected Hospitals, Raipur, (C.G.). A descriptive survey design with Non random sampling technique was used to collect the data from 30 Primigravida mothers in selected maternity hospitals, Raipur. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire schedule. The results were described by using descriptive statistic. The mean knowledge score was as adequate knowledge of primi mothers is 82.22% and inadequate knowledge score of primi mothers is 60.37% regarding importance of institutional delivery. There was no association between knowledge scores and selected demographic variables except age and place of residence. (p>0.05). Association of demographic variables with pre-test score. Chi square test is used to test the significance of distribution of demographic variables according to knowledge score. On applying the test demographic variables “Age” and “Area of leaving” showed significant association with knowledge score at p<0.05 and p<0.02 significance level. Rest all demographic variables showed insignificant (p > 0.05) association with knowledge score [5].
