Retaining natural teeth as abutments for dentures can significantly reduce progress of residual ridge resorption. The stress concentration can be shared between the denture baring areas and the abutments. Overdentures can decrease the impact of residual ridge resorption; provide sensory feedback, loss of occlusal stability, loss of esthetics in addition to compromised mastication. In order to reduce residual ridge resorption and to increase retention and stability, overdenture as a treatment modality has been successful. When edentulous areas too extensive or too numerous for fixed prosthesis and need for cross arch stabilization cast partial denture is preferred. Insertions as well as taking away of the denture and regular oral hygiene are simple to perform. Present paper depicts the rehabilitation of partially edentulous mouth with maxillary cast partial denture and mandibular tooth supported overdenture.

Teledentistry provides the means for a patient to receive services when the patient is in one physical location and the dentist or other oral health care provider overseeing the delivery of those services is in another location. This mode of patient care makes use of telecommunication technologies to convey health information and facilitate the delivery of dental services. More and more private and public insurance are adding coverage for Tele-health and teledentistry worldwide.

Among various periodontal diseases, Periodontitis is considered to be most common chronic inflammatory diseases of periodontal origin. Numerous causative bacteria have been found causing disease such as Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, Porphyromonas gingivalis and Tannerella forsythus etc. In recent years, Probiotics has gained importance in dentistry. Treatment has changed from elimination of specific bacteria to altering bacterial ecology. This article highlights the potential role of probiotics in the management of periodontitis and shows its potential in curing the disease.

Aim: To study the effect of incisor retraction on the lip position in patients with excessive proclination. Materials and Method: pre and post treatment cephalograms 40 adult patients. (26 female and 14 male) pre and post treatment cephalograms of these patients were analysed to compare the effect retraction of incisors on the lip. Results: An average retraction of maxillary incisor of 3.5 ± 3.3 mm caused the upper lip to retract by 5.3 ± 1.9 mm.; An average retraction of maxillary incisor of 3.5 ± 3.3 of mm. caused the lower lip to retract by 1.9 ± 1.7 mm. Conclusion: Strong correlation existed between upper incisor retraction and lower lip retraction (r- value 0.0479) and lower incisor retraction and lower lip retraction (r-value 0.0641) Ratio of upper incisor retraction to upper lip retraction is 1.5:1. Ratio of upper incisor retraction to lower lip retraction is 1.7:1. Ratio of lower incisor retraction to lower lip retraction is 1.2:1. Ratio of lower incisor proclination to lower lip protrusion is 0.4:1. For 1 mm Upper incisor retraction caused the in the labiomental fold angle increase by 4.10.
