This short communication was aimed to throw light on rehabilitative role of exercise therapy in women withbreast cancer. The evidence presented in this article enumerated the preventive and therapeutic role of exercises in rehabilitation of breast cancer survivors. Exercise given as a combination of aerobic and strength training in addition to routine antineoplastic treatments and chemo/radiotherapy was effective in not only producing symptom reduction, but also enhanced functional performance and perceived quality of life. More studies on multidisciplinary administration of exercises would confirm our findings more comprehensively in order to derive evidence-informed recommendations.

Prostate cancer is the most common type of malignancy in males in many parts of the world. Prostate adenocarcinoma is both second leading cause of cancer and cancer death in the North American males. Of the patients who are detected with prostate cancer, about 10-20% of them are found to have metastatic cancer on presentation. Prostate cancer commonly metastasizes to the bones; vertebrae, ribs, long bones and the skull.  Metastasis to pleura is extremely uncommon.
We present a case who presented with pleural effusion and COPD without any urinary complaints. On investigations pleural effusion showed metastatic Adenocarcinoma cells and on search, primary lesion was found in the prostate and there were no bony metastasis. This rare report is presented with the aim that prostate carcinoma can present as pleural effusion without any urinary symptoms and bone metastasis. So while investigating a case of malignant pleural effusion this should be kept in mind.

Background: It is observed that cancers are increasingly seen in both genders and all the age groups due to a complex interaction of various risk factors. To implement the Public health intervention measures it is essential to have the baseline data regarding frequency, distribution of cancers in the population. Objective: To study the magnitude of cancers by obtaining a baseline data regarding the frequency, distribution, leading cancer sites among the patients in a tertiary cancer care hospital of Rural Maharashtra. Methods: A hospital based cross sectional study was conducted through case records of cancer patients who reported in the year 2012 to Pravara Rural Hospital Based Cancer Registry (HBCR), Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology, Rural Medical College and Pravara Rural Hospital, Loni, Maharashtra state, India. A predesigned performa (a core form by HBCR programme) was used to collect the data. Results: 41 % Males and 59% Females in the age group 35-64 years had cancer. The sex ratio was 1:1.44. Top five Cancer in this study were Tongue, Mouth, Larynx and Lung. Top five Cancer in females were Cervix, Breast, Ovary, Mouth and Oesophagus. 56.8% were TRCs (Tobacco Related Cancers) in males while 13.2% were TRCs in females.

Title: - Demographic and morphological evaluation of tumor and tumor like lesions of Oral cavity- A tertiary care hospital based study with a brief review. Context: - Oral: cavity is subjected to broad spectrum of agents leading to varied changes that can become the cause of suspicion of cancer and anxiety. Aim:  To evaluate the clinico-pathological profile of tumor and tumor like lesions that can occur in oral cavity. Setting and design: Cross sectional study in Pathology department of a tertiary care hospital. Material and methods: - Morphological and clinical   evaluation of all the biopsies and surgically resected specimens, was conducted over a period of two years. SPSS-15 software was used to calculate the statistical significance of associations.   Observations: - Eight percent of all the tumours and tumour like lesions, occurred in oral cavity. Male preponderance was noted (64.4%), with average age of males and females being 44.9 years and 46.2 years respectively. Buccal mucosa was the most common site (37.1%). Malignant tumours formed the largest group (59.4%), 14.7% were benign, 11.9% premalignant and 14% were tumour like lesions. Most common malignant lesion was squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). All the cases of oral SCC had history of tobacco consumption (p value=0.000). Conclusion: - Amongst all tumour and tumour like lesions of oral cavity, OSCC occurred predominantly. Histopathology played a crucial role in determining the exact nature of oral cavity lesion. As oral cancers are known to spread rapidly, cost-effective oral cancer screening and awareness initiatives should be introduced urgently and intensively in high-risk populations of India.

Background: The literature suggests that the natural history of Oral cancer may vary and the prognosis is different in patients from developing and developed nations.Objective: To evaluate the awareness of oral cancer, its risk factors and to estimate the prevalence of risk factors in a rural population in India. Methods: A hospital based cross sectionalstudy was conducted through case records of oral cancer patients who reported in the year 2012 toPravara Rural Hospital Based Cancer Registry (HBCR), Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology, Rural Medical College and Pravara Rural Hospital, Loni, Maharashtra state, India. The case files and registers of Oral cancer cases was reviewed to collect personal and clinical data about sex, age, occupation, marital status, education, socioeconomic status, habits like tobacco chewers, cigarette smoking, site. A predesigned performa (a core form by HBCR programme) was used to collect the data. Results: In all279 cases of cancer with all sitesof oral cancer, number of male patients was 61.29% whereas females were38.71%. Mean age of the patients was 56.31 years, ranging from 11-81 years, 31.90% are more than 65 years of age. The most common cancers among the males and females are those of tongue (39.77%) and buccal mucosa (35.18%) respectively.Tobacco related cancer patients in males are 83% and in females it was 62%. Conclusions: The prevalence of cancer cases with all sites was higher among elderly males than in females.
