Introduction: The knowledge of components of Tridand Sharir certainly a need for every physician in diagnosis and management of various disease conditions. This study has been undertaken to explore the concept of Tridand Sharir and its clinical relevance in present era.

 Methodology: this prospective literary study has been conducted in the department of Sharir Rachana, National Institute of Ayurveda, deemed to be university, jaipur from 2017 till.

Results: During the study period, we reviewed various ayurveda textbooks, research articles, classical texts, and other related books.

Conclusions: To become a complete physician, one should have a thorough understanding of the concept of Tridand Sharir, along with its clinical aspect which would help to better understanding of diagnosis and management of both Physical and Psychological diseases on the basis of Ayurveda principles.

Thousands to millions of people lost their lives due to epidemics and pandemics in the past centuries. Allopathic Medical Scientists concluded that deaths during epidemics or pandemics had been caused by one or other type of germ. This conclusion or belief (germs are the cause of all diseases) was further strengthened during the fifth to sixth decade of twentieth century as increased production and use of antibiotics, antivirals and vaccines saved billions of lives throughout the world. Moreover, it (use of antibiotics and antivirals to treat infectious diseases) has been one of the reasons for decreased mortality rates throughout the world in the past hundred years. Yet it should be remembered that germs are not the primary cause of all diseases. Moreover, several types of germs are friends, not foes. This article revis the truth of germs as friend as well foe in terms of modern medical and naturopathy perspectives.

In natural healing today, the use of pressure point for massage has become a popular topic. In Ayurveda, these pressure points are called “Marmas”, meaning ‘vulnerable’ or sensitive zone. Without knowing Marmas, we could not really understand out selves or interaction with our environment, nor create lasting balance and harmony in our lives. All major Ayurvedic texts refer to the total number of marmas as 107. Marmas are part of a greater 'sacred physiology' that maps out the body according to subtle energy currents and power points. Abhyanga or Massage is the main Ayurvedic method for treating Marmas. It combines the power of therapeutic touch along with the medicinal properties of oils, herbs and aromas. Therapeutic regions like marmas on the arms and legs are the most important for treatment purpose. They are easy to work on through procedures like massage, acupuncture, oils, aromas or ointments. Here an effort is made to understand the Marma therapy along with Ayurvedic massage (Abhyanga) specially Padabhyanga (Foot massage) on marma regions that are in need of stimulation or of release and use the appropriate methods to adjust their energy flow.

Sushruta Samhita describes the ancient tradition of surgery in India and is considered as one of the brilliant gems in ancient Indian medical literature. Sushruta was the famous surgeon of Kashi, known as Banaras. He used to teach and practice around 600 BC and has made significant contributions to various branches of medicine. Sushruta Samhita written by him is the foundation of Indian traditional system of medicine and it contains 186 chapters. Sushruta Samhita is considered as the landmark in the field of surgery and Acharya Sushruta is glorified as “Father of Indian Surgery” “Father of Ancient Plastic Surgery”. In this review an attempt has been made to highlight the ancient surgical concepts of Sushruta Samhita which are being practiced even today with same basic principles but after modifications and amendments.

Depression is a psychiatric disorder, which often leads to poor quality of life and impaired role in functioning. Indeed, chances of developing a depressive illness are estimated to be 1 in 10 for men and 1 in 5 for women making it a particularly common affliction of mankind. Globally, an estimated 322 million people were affected by depression in 2015. Yoga is a set of physical, mental and spiritual practices which originated in India thousands of years ago. With evolution over it has been adapted around the world in various forms. In the last years, a new view on mental healthcare has been formed on mental healthcare, called positive psychology. This new view states, that mental health is not solely comprised of a reduction of negative symptoms, such as stress or depression, but positive experiences as well, such as emotional wellbeing, happiness and self-realization. Yoga, among other activities, is in line with this new view, in the sense that it practices key aspects of positive psychology. More and more research has been conducted on the effects of yoga on mental health in the last years, but little have physical, chronic conditions been the focus of this research. There is a clear need for interventions which are efficacious in improving both physical activity and depressive symptomsand multicomponent lifestyle interventions incorporating a combination of physical activity, exercise and diet.Treatment guidelines for mental disorders from leading international organisations now recommend the integration of physical activity based interventions as part of routine psychiatric care. Despite these recommendations, translation of evidence into clinical practiceand routine implementation of exercise interventions as part of standard care is limited.
