Sachin Narwadiya M.Sc (Biochemistry), PGDMLT, PGJMC. He has 20+ years of experience in wide area of research and development and teaching. He has experience in Medical technology and diagnostic tools, Biochemical analysis, presentation tools and techniques, Science Quiz Master. As quiz master he conducted many science quizzes competitions in various part of country. In the Quiz a new method was developed by him by incorporation of Science films content in Quiz Questions for promotion of Science Films of Vigyan Prasar. He also visited Japan as part of scientist delegation from Indian during 2012. He participated in various trainings on topics like DNA analysis, Empirical Approach, Revised National Tuberculosis control program, Safe water and Demographer training for health workers.
Presently in Vigyan Prasar he is working as Scientist-D and my tasks includes Promotion of Science and Scientific awareness through conferences, Audio Visual Programmes. He authored and published books titles: VigyanYatra- Hindi science poetry book, let's enjoy Biochemistry Quiz, BhavnaaoKe rang Kavitaoke sang, Tear Drop: A Love Story, Vo Saat Sal, Let's enjoy learning Biochemistry, My Journey in Science Communication, Sainikaur Swasthya.
Dr. Irfana Begum has been working with Vigyan Prasar as Project Officer, EduSAT. She completed her PhD on the topic 'Morphotaxonomic Studies of Some Nematode Parasites of Fishes' from CSJM University Kanpur. She has been engaged in Science Communication for over two decade. Her association with the masses through hands-on science communication has brought changes in the lives and thinking of public residing in diverse locations across India. She has developed excellent resource material in Science for rural and Tribal students and she has particularly made a mark in the Tribal communities located in remote and backward/aspirational districts.
Dr. Irfana has, during the last two decades organized numerous science communication programs like teachers' training; Disaster Management programme, developing activity books and activity kits and writing books besides engaging with society. She is specifically credited with development of science festival using interesting, informative, and innovative infotainment formats. The program developed by her are designed & developed as extracurricular activities and as such are not a part of syllabus of schools. Further, her initiatives in Urdu language helped Muslim girls & women to develop scientific/rational thinking and outlook in Muslim populated area.
It would be worthwhile to mention here that she has authored research reference book on nematode parasites of fishes, developed 26 Handbooks on different topics of sciences, translated 4 popular science books edited 3 popular science book, and delivered scores of popular talks on radio on various topics, besides numerous interview bytes on television. She was Associate Editor Urdu monthly magazine Tajassus and part of Editorial board Hindi monthly Bachho ka Inderdhanush.
She is part of Editorial board International Journal of Advanced Research in Biology and Biotechnology.
She received Nishan-E-Sir Sayyed for Urdu Science communication, National award for song and slogan writing and young story writer award.
