Introduction


Dr. Sanjay Kumar Kaushik is a distinguished library science professional and academic currently serving as Deputy Librarian at Kurukshetra University. With a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science focusing on the information-seeking behavior of social scientists, he possesses an extensive academic foundation complemented by advanced diplomas in Library Automation and Information Technology from the University of Hyderabad and Maharshi Dayanand University. His career spans over nearly three decades of dedicated service in university library administration, including a long-standing tenure at M.D. University, Rohtak, where he rose through the ranks to shape modern library services.
An accomplished author and researcher, Dr. Kaushik has significantly contributed to the field through three authoritative books on Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) and over 30 research papers published in esteemed journals like the Indian Library Association (ILA) Bulletin and Annals of Library and Information Studies. His work frequently explores scientometrics, citation analysis, and the evolving digital landscape of library systems.
