Single system ureteral ectopia is rare. It is more commonly found in males.It is defined as any ureter, single or duplex, that does not enter the trigonal area of the bladder. In females the ectopic ureter may enter any where from the bladder neck to the perineum and into the vagina, uterus, and even rectum. In males the ectopic ureter always enters the urogenital system above the external sphincter or pelvic floor and usually into the wolffian structures including vas deferens, seminal vesicles, or ejaculatory duct. The presentation is variable. Males do not present with incontinence but with infection and pain of the affected organs e.g. testicles and epididymis and females usually present with incontinence of urine. We here present a rare case of ectopic ureter that presented to us as scrotal abscess.

The intervention of public relations (PR) in transplant programs is an emerging field and varies across the country from centre to centre. The public relations counselling helps the patients in clinical decision making of patient and their relatives for renal transplant. The pre-transplant process involves legal procedures, regulatory aspects, ethical, psychological and other clinical formalities. The role of public relations into practice is discussed as a model for providing care throughout the process of renal transplantation. Public relations experts are in a unique position to expand the care for kidney transplant patients by assuming the role of clinician, educator, administrator, and coordinator.

Purpose: To present the technique of laparoscopic assisted percutaneousnephrolithotomy for the treatment of stones in ectopic kidneys. Patients and Methods: The series included three children (mean age 16 years). Laparoscopic assisted percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) was performed for renal stones. Results: The mean operative time was 90 minutes. There were no complications nor conversions to open surgery. The stone-free rate was 100%. One patient had a renal calculi on the opposite normal kidney and was treated with shock wave lithotripsy. The mean hospital stay was 4 days. Conclusion: Laparoscopic assisted PCNL is a safe, feasible and an effective option in the management of renal stones in an ectopic pelvic kidney.
