Her academic journey led her to specialize in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, where she has continuously pushed boundaries and explored innovative ways to improve child oral health. She was awarded the prestigious Dakshin Bharat Merit of Excellence for securing above 70% in her Final MDS Examination, a recognition that resects both her scholarly rigor and perseverance.
Throughout her career, Dr Ayesha has actively contributed to both clinical practice and academic instruction. She has not only been recognized as a skilled clinician in her community but has also made lasting impressions as a dedicated educator. Her teaching philosophy centres on empowering her students, encouraging them to combine clinical expertise with a thorough understanding of community-based health promotion. Dr Ayesha is known for her proactive approach—actively engaging in research, presenting at national conferences, and contributing to the development of curricula that emphasize preventive oral health measures.
Her contributions extend beyond the classroom and clinic; Dr Ayesha has been instrumental in initiating various outreach programs focused on school oral health. Through these programs, she strives to disseminate critical oral health information to underprivileged communities and foster healthier practices among young children. Dr Krishnapriya Vellore is the Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry at the Army College of Dental Sciences, with over 23 years of experience in research and academic practice. Dr Vellore’s research primarily focuses on Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, and she has published 35 papers in the field. She has been recognized with the Distinguished Woman Award by the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD) for her immense contribution to Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry. Her expertise extends to managing children with special health care needs and traumatic injuries, areas in which she has made remarkable contributions. Dr. Vellore’s academic journey is marked by a deep commitment to advancing dental education and promoting oral health for all children.
Dr Mayuri Ganesh is an Associate Professor with more than 10 years of research and academic experience in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry. She has published 26 papers and received several accolades, including the Best Outgoing Intern Award in Public Health Dentistry at the Army College of Dental Sciences and the Best Poster Award at the ISPPD conference in Hyderabad in 2016. Dr Ganesh is also highly proficient in academics and administration, having served as the NAAC Criteria 8 Incharge at ACDS. Her dedication to both academic excellence and administrative leadership has contributed significantly to the institution’s growth.
Dr K. Sai Geeta, an MDS holder in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry and a PhD researcher, brings over 4 years of research and academic experience to the field. Her research interests include Pediatric Dentistry, Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry, Dental Education, Adaptive E-Learning, and Soft Skills in Dentistry. With 17 published papers to her name, Dr Geeta is known for her interdisciplinary approach to dental research. She is a dedicated researcher with a strong passion for innovative research, and she is admired for her excellent communication and teaching skills, enabling her to work effectively with students, colleagues, and research partners.
