Abstract

Stroke or cerebrovascular accident is a rare entity in children. Commonly considered to be a disease of the elderly, it accounts for high morbidity and mortality in children. Despite an increased incidence 1.2 To 13 cases per 100,000 children under 18 years of age there is a delay in diagnosis leading to long term complications and neurological deficits.
