AbstractLeprosy is a major issue among medical professionals. Another name for leprosy is Hansen’s disease. It is a communicable disease that can be cured and is still common in the majority of nations worldwide. Mycobacterium leprae and Mycobacterium lepromatosis are the predominant causes of this chronic granulomatous infection, which primarily affects the skin and peripheral nerves. Decades of effort have been dedicated to controlling the disease and reducing its impact. Despite being “eradicated” by the WHO in 2000, about 0.2 million new cases were reported globally in 2017.1
