Abstract

The Jal Jeevan Mission, launched in 2019 under the National Rural Drinking Water Program, seeks to ensure tap water access to all rural households in India by 2024. Considering the crucial role of water in sustaining life and with a rapidly growing population, the program emphasizes sustainable water management through measures such as rainwater harvesting and conservation. By integrating modern technology and community participation, the initiative addresses challenges in maintaining a reliable water supply.
