AbstractIn this study, we aimed to determine the effects of physical therapy in the treatment of psychiatric disorders. Psychosocial therapies are required to address the rising mental health burden. Within the multidisciplinary care of patients with mental health disorders, physiotherapists could play a key role in lowering stress and supporting rehabilitation. The goal of this systematic study was to look into the function of physiotherapists in today's mental health policies. Serious mental illness puts people at an increased risk of physical sickness. With greater levels of cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease, diabetes, and respiratory sickness, mortality rates are at least twice those of the general population. Although genetics may play a role in some patients' physical health issues, lifestyle and environmental variables such as smoking, obesity, a poor diet, and a lack of physical activity also play a significant influence.
