The development of this Community Health Nursing Practical Record Book for B.Sc. Nursing is a result of tireless efforts committed to create excellence from most popular resources of national and international importance. Every effort has been made to present clinical formats with more practical orientation than theoretical outlook. The values and skills needed by the students in this era of dramatic changes in healthcare delivery system has emphasized further the role of nursing in different settings.
The aim of writing this Practical Record Book of Community Health Nursing is to help the nursing students to have handful of clinical requirements guide and to facilitate them to complete clinical posting with effective utilization of given learning experiences. It serves as a clinical guide for the students to understand comprehensive nursing care by gathering client information, performing nursing assessment and documenting the provided nursing care.
In the scenario of uncertain strategies adopted by different institutions, I feel this Record Book will provide a clear vision for the students to complete required nursing care plans, nursing case studies, case presentations, drug presentations, various reports, etc.
It is of utmost importance for the student to have clear ideas in relation to the practice of nursing since they are goingto provide care to the individuals, families and communities including emotional care. To fulfil this requirement, it isnecessary to have common and well approved strategies to follow to provide individual based nursing care.
Every attempt has been made to include complete information for the student so that they can successfully complete their clinical requirements.
