AbstractThis study examines the use of information sources by the users of Delhi Public Library, Delhi (India). A well structured 120 questionnaires were distributed among DPL users during the academic session 2009-10, to find out the users of information resources being provided by DPL. The present study demonstrates and elaborates the various aspects of use of collections and services, purpose of visit to the library; time spent in the library, physical facilities, use and collections of documents. The paper also identifies the levels of use of various services provided, special library services, and modern techniques applied by the library. Highlights satisfactions with services and rules and regulations of the library. Suggestions have been given to make the collections and services more beneficial for the public library users’ community in India as well as abroad.
