AbstractThe study indicates the Quantum of pages of research publications from 1989 to 2013. The total 115584 pages containing 17102 publications during 1989-2013. The highest number of pages 5198 (4.50%) finds out in 736 publications in 1994. The Doubling time (Dt) also appeared a fluctuating trend between 2.67 in 1990 and 69.3 in the year 1996 and 2000 were found to be an upward and downward trend in the period of study. The first is one volume of articles produced by a specific variable (articles in journals) in different years and thus the extent of the increase and the second one is the volume of growth of literature in different years in relation to the world in productivity. At the first observation, it can be analyzed that data invalidate the Lotka’s findings that the proportion of all contributions that make a single contribution is less than 60%.
