AbstractA pre-experimental study with one group , pre-test and post-test design was chosen to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching program in improving knowledge in prevention of diabetic foot ulcer among diabetes mellitus patients. 50 patients with diabetes mellitus in the age group of 45years to 75years were selected using non-probability purposive sampling technique. After explaining about study pre test was done by using structured multiple choice questionnaires and structured teaching program on prevention of diabetic foot was administered for 30min and the post test was done after 7 days. The data collected was interpreted using inferential statistics. In this study pre test the mean was 10.48 and SD was 5.31 and in post test mean was 23.00 and SD was 1.79.
